PUTRAJAYA: Health authorities have confirmed five more cases of “imported” Influenza A (H1N1), bringing to 17 the number of confirmed cases in the country.
They involve a 12-year-old boy, a 25-year-old British tourist, a 16-year-old student from Melbourne, a 14-year-old American schoolgirl and a 26-year-old woman who had gone to Melbourne for a holiday.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican said the boy had spent five days in Manila before arriving here on Saturday on board Malaysian Airline flight MH705 (seat 15E).
The British tourist, meanwhile, arrived last Monday via flight EK342 from Dubai, spent a night in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur before proceeding to Pulau Tioman via Berjaya Air J8190 (seat 5A) on Tuesday.

The National Cancer Society of Malaysia NCSM will be having their third Relay for Life (RLF) on the 30 th May from 6 pm to 10 am 31 May at the MSN Training Stadium , Bukit Jalil. More info on : www.cancer.org.my. Open to public -all welcome.
United Amateur Radio members from many clubs have been supporting this event since the beginning. This event is growing in number every year , and NCSM needs our help to assist them in communication.
We are looking for Amateur Radio volunteers from any Society / Clubs /individuals to help us jointly in providing communication for this event as part of our Amateur Radio community service and civil communication.
Can you help us as amateur radio communication volunteer during the peak period 5pm to 9 pm 30 May Saturday?

Kami di ARKB dengan kerjasama PBSM (Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah) akan mengadakan kelas untuk persediaan RAE, kepada semua calon-calon RAE bolehlah menyertai kelas tersebut. Maklumat kelas tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

PASIR MAS: It was a new experience for the students of SMK Tendong, Pasir Mas, who were introduced to the world of ham radio or amateur radio and its potential of helping them to improve their spoken English.
They were given the opportunity to listen to a live conversation between astronauts from the International Space Satellite and the base centre.
And they had their English teacher Yong Guan Chiong, who is a ham radio member, to thank for finding a novel way to help his students learn the English language.
The students also had the opportunity to communicate with a ham radio user in Kota Kinabalu.
